Help Roots of a Rebellion play Live On The Green!

Hey y’all!

Austin Smith here, lead-singer and guitarist for Roots of a Rebellion, and I just wanted to take the time to say hello to all of you and thank you for checking out our site. (This site design is still in the works, but it should be looking better in no time) What an exciting time it is for R.O.A.R.–we just qualified for the fourth and final round of Lightening 100′s Music City Mayhem competition to play Live On The Green in Nashville, TN in Fall 2012. Thank you to everyone who voted, it was all you, and we are going to do our best to take advantage of this opportunity! The final round is going to be a live showcase where all the final four bands play three songs, and the winner is determined solely by crowd votes (they have ballots in the back of the room). The final showdown is next Thursday April 12th at Tin Roof in Nashville, TN. So for all of you loyal roots crew members in Nashville, we need your help now more than ever NEXT THURSDAY at Tin Roof. This would be an amazing opportunity for us to play Live On The Green in the Fall! Either way, we thank you for your support and we are honored to have been a part of this competition. It is such a blessing to love what you do and have people show love for what you do.  Here is a link to the Facebook event for the live showcase next Thursday if you can please invite everyone you know that’s close to Nashville cause we’ll need all the help we can get! https://www.facebook.com/events/264924790267752/

About Roots Of A Rebellion

It is in the very house that once belonged to Hank Williams Sr. that has risen up a new spirit, a new generation, and a new sound. In a town filled with country music comes a sound so unique and diverse that attention must be shifted. Having shared the stage with such acts as The Wailers, Iration, Zach Deputy, Ashes of Babylon, and The Movement, Roots of a Rebellion actively seeks the hearts and ears of its fans everywhere. Combining elements of reggae, soul, rock, dub, and mixed with a tight horn section and melodic vocal lines, R.O.A.R. has created a sound that is wholeheartedly unique. Hailing from various corners of the United States, each member brings something special to the table. Austin Smith, Alec Newnam, Troy Wiggins, Marco Martinez, Jeremyck Smith, Justin Smith, and Paul Violante all have relocated to Nashville to blend unique musical styles and passion into the souls of the southeast. Fueled by conscious lyrics and a groove that won’t let you sit still, Roots of a Rebellion wants you to become a part of something original and positive. Roots of a Rebellion, along with its loyal rootscrew fan base, will continue marching on representing truth and love wherever they go. Be on the look out for future R.O.A.R. shows coming through your town
